The California Club in partnership with UCI Health presents the first in a series of health related seminars. Join us as Dr. Sami Dwabe, a board certified UCI Health hematologist and oncologist, discusses the current updates in cancer care, including the latest treatment options and early detection screenings available.
Dr. Dwabe earned his medical degree from UCI Irvine School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at LAC+USC Medical Center followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at UCI Irvine Medical Center. His clinical interests include targeted therapies, immunotherapy and antibody-drug conjugates in gynecological malignancies.
Objectives of the seminar include:

Recognizing the value of early detection/prevention

Understanding how cancer treatment has become more individualized

The California Club in partnership with UCI Health presents the second in a series of health related seminars. Join us as Dr. Kim Gokoffski, a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in neuro-ophthalmology. She cares for patients with vision loss caused by traumatic, ischemic (stroke), compressive (tumor), inflammatory (MS,NMO), infectious, metabolic and genetic diseases of the optic nerve and other visual pathways to the brain. She also treats patients with double vision due to cranial nerve palsies, brainstem disease, thyroid eye disease and ocular muscle disorders such as myasthenia gravis, chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia and myotonic dystrophy. Dr. Gokoffski earned her medical degree and PhD from UCI Irvine School of Medicine and completed her residency in ophthalmology at UC Davis followed by a fellowship in neuro ophthamology at USC. Objectives of the seminar include: Understand how the brain controls eye movements Describe causes of age-related double vision Understand how systemic disease affects eye movements Learn about different treatment options for double vision
